Best Used Cars For the Environment

These days, it is almost impossible to not have some sort of concern about the environment. Global warming is a reality, whether people want to admit it or not. The good news is that even people on a budget can help the environment by making the right used car choices.

When you purchase a used car that is good for the environment, you will be taking global warming into your own hands. Each person needs to own a part of the responsibility, and this is one way to do that. There are many cars that are good for the environment and your bank account as well, so buying green is easier than ever before.

If you want a car that only has a small carbon footprint, a 1998 Toyota Tercel is perfect. When you get this car, you get a car that has low emissions and gets great gas mileage. Expect to get an average of 31 mpg with this vehicle. Possibly more important than the great gas mileage is the fact that it does not create much pollution. In fact this vehicle pollutes less than many hybrids on the market today.

The Honda Civic is another great choice if you want to be kind to the environment. When you get a Civic, you are getting a car with a minimal impact on the environment. The gas mileage is a selling point and the emissions also set this vehicle apart from the rest. With the Civic, you do not need to get a hybrid. Simply get a Civic from the year 2000 or later and you will be able to know you are driving a vehicle that is not significantly contributing to environmental problems.
